Business life is and remains a people’s business, agree the experts of the 5th Agency Caf\u00e9 of Global Communication Experts (GCE). Therefore the Business Travel, which would constitute alone in Germany two thirds of the travel and tourism total volume, will change in the next years in its kind. But it will return to a similarly high level of demand as before the Corona crisis, according to the unanimous tenor.<\/p>\r\n

A total of five managers from the travel industry discussed the future of business travel at the digital roundtable in mid-August. Tom Fecke, Managing Director of Sabre Deutschland Marketing, sees above all a change towards hybrid business travel with more digital meetings mixed with real travel and speaks of a future “good co-existence” of both forms. The decision for a business trip will be made even more consciously in this sense and will also lead to the trend that many companies already let their employees decide freely about the means of transport, hotel or similar. Andreas Neumann from Derpart emphasized that the topic of lead leisure will also develop accordingly, because it brings advantages for both companies and employees.<\/p>\r\n

Long-term offers and travel safety in demand<\/h4>\r\n

At present, all parties involved in the travel chain are feeling the strong interest of business travelers and companies in process optimization and travel risk initiatives. “We have changed the entire flight process,” explains Tony Seifarth, Sales & Marketing Manager of Cathay Pacific Airways. “Our aircraft are cleaned at shorter intervals, we implement all hygiene and clearance regulations and also provide a care package with mask and disinfection gel”. The airline now offers regular flights again, for example from Frankfurt or Munich to Hong Kong.<\/p>\r\n

Long-term car rental is currently in high demand at Avis, especially among domestic travellers. “Many companies currently do not want to invest in their own vehicle fleet, instead they rent a car from us on a monthly basis”, reports Martin Gruber, Managing Director Central Europe of Avis Budget Group.
Serviced apartment provider Ascott (photo above), in turn, is currently having the hygiene concept in its Citadines hotels certified and is converting the majority of all processes to cashless. “We have been counting several long-term guests in our serviced apartments for several weeks now, also within the framework of the new ‘Work in Residence’ programme”, says David Renzmann, Area Manager Germany & Georgia The Ascott Limited.<\/p>\r\n

According to the observation of all managers, these measures and the entire crisis have had little effect on prices so far. Whether it’s flight, car rental or hotel costs \u2013 prices will, according to the forecast and hope, remain largely stable despite the many changes in the market.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
