New work needs more welfare transparency, a study concludes.&#8221;<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"de-DE\">Is there more ignorance, or is there a real lack of duty of care on mobile work and bleisure issues? The answer is difficult, but at least three out of four business travellers estimate that their employer gives top priority to the issues of health, safety and security of business travellers. 68 per cent of respondents say their company has a travel risk management policy and are therefore aware of it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"de-DE\">But when it comes to remote work, only 36 percent can say for sure that their employer always takes care of their safety, while 25 percent do not know whether they are covered by their employer at all when working in this way. Because in fact, in some cases, the care only extends to certain locations or is associated with restrictions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"de-DE\">At the same time, about 64 percent of business travellers are unsure whether they are medically covered by their company&#8217;s travel risk programme when they extend their business trip privately, i.e. take a bleisure trip.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"de-DE\">BCD had collected these figures in the course of a survey in August 2022 among 674 business travellers worldwide and emphasised how much security gaps can arise here and companies are held liable and lose the trust of employees. Travel risk management policies today should therefore be aligned with hybrid and mobile working.
