Everybody wants to go to the Baltic Sea right now – but few have the manor Gut Panker on their screens. That’s it! The over 500-year-old, listed property, one hour from Hamburg, has 23 rooms in the Landhotel Ole Liese. The baroque manor house, a chapel, a gatehouse and countless grazing Trakehner horses in the lush green park are also part of the complex. Anyone who extends their business trip here stays with a smile on their face – and can enjoy top-class gastronomy in “1797”, the Michelin Star restaurant of chef Volker M. Fuhrwerk.
The Schlosshotel Kronberg im Taunus has long been a “place to be”. Until now, however, the cottage of the English castle complex on the outskirts of Frankfurt has never been open to the public. Corona changes that too. Since May, there has been an urban pop-up beer garden complete with deckchairs here from Thursday to Sunday and on public holidays – perfect for business appointments during these social-distance days.
The Grandhotel Hessischer Hof near the Frankfurt Trade Fair will not be back in operation until mid-August. “We’ll still be there,” says the bar team, and since the end of April has been offering in-house wines every Thursday in its own “wine drive-in”, which are aged at the Prinz von Hessen Winery in Geisenheim (Rheingau). Anyone who wants to, drives to the main entrance, orders in the open air and pays contactlessly while the team safely stows the bottles in the trunk. A little bleisure moment during the business trip in Frankfurt.
