„For the first time, the German Bonus Awards and Bleisure Traveller jointly searched for the best workation hotel and presented the award at the ITB. These three hotels made it onto the winners’ podium.“
The winners have now been announced and chosen at the ITB: KPM Hotels & Residences in Berlin took first place. “The hotel is a design statement in the heart of Berlin with the cosiest work bunks in the apartments and some even have their own garden,” says Sylvie Konzack, jury member and editor-in-chief of Bleisure Traveller.
Adina Hotels won second place with its iconic high-rise property in Munich. “Adina Hotels is the market leader in the young hotel segment of serviced apartments in Germany. With their Adina Hotel Munich, they have created a very special workation and bleisure location high above the Isar metropolis – including roof terraces and sheep in front of some apartments,” says Anett Gregorius, jury member and founder and owner of Apartmentservice.
Third place goes to Greece to the W Hotel in the exceptional Costa Navarino project, including the Agora and numerous leisure facilities. Situated on the Peloponnese, in a largely unspoilt coastal and mountain landscape, it is a special place for inspired work.
“In order to give the hotels with the best opportunities for workations a stage, we have launched the Employer Loyalty Workation Awards together with the Bleisure Traveller as a new category,” said Ulf-Gunnar Switalski, jury member and initiator of the German Bonus Awards, at the award ceremony at the international travel trade fair ITB in Berlin.
Over 115,000 votes at the German Bonus Awards
The German Bonus Awards took place for the third time this year and primarily honoured the programmes of the year in the categories of shopping, travel, hotels, lifestyle, finance and cashback. Over 115,000 consumers voted for their favourites in various categories, compared to 45,000 in the previous year, and prizes were also awarded for the best points collection campaign, the best customer service and the best app.
Miles & More, Payback, BahnBonus and EMP Backstage Club, as well as Best Western Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy, were among the winners in several categories. A detailed overview of the winners can be found here.
“Whether it’s points, miles or cashback, around three quarters of all Germans actively participate in various bonus programmes,” says Ulf-Gunnar Switalski. “The German Bonus Awards offer consumers, experts, media representatives and VIPs a platform to recognise the achievements of an industry that has been inspiring numerous customers for years with its commitment, innovation and inspiration.”
