Bleisure Conference in Rhineland-Palatinate

This year, the Convention Bureau Rhineland-Palatinate has made Bleisure its main theme and invites business travellers, travel managers and tourism providers to ‘MEET & GREET – Tagungsland Rheinland-Pfalz’ in Ludwigshafen on 6 September. Bleisure Traveller will also be taking part in a panel round.”

Vineyards, rivers, imperial history and, right in the middle, a lot of business with companies like BASF, United Internet or Biontec. “We offer short distances in Rhineland-Palatinate, so we are sustainable, and there are fewer hurdles than with Bleisure trips abroad,” says Fabienne Rosenbach, project manager Convention Bureau Rhineland-Palatinate. “With our Bleisure offers, we want to enable business travellers to combine business and leisure and offer real added value with the hotel package ‘Stay a little bit longer‘, among others. Why shouldn’t we combine the useful with the beautiful!”

Founded in 2021, the Convention Bureau Rhineland-Palatinate is organising the “MEET & GREET – Tagungsland Rheinland-Pfalz” for the second time. The hybrid business format will take place on the topic of “Bleisure Travel in Rhineland-Palatinate” on 6 September 2023 in Ludwigshafen at the Pfalzbau and invites business travellers, travel managers, tourism providers, event planners and location operators to exchange ideas.

Cities and experts on the ground

Mainz, Koblenz, Trier, Ludwigshafen, Worms, Landau and Zweibrücken will be presenting themselves as Bleisure partner cities. In addition, the recently joined partner city Frankenthal will be present and inform participants about the conference facilities in the Congress Forum there. In addition, partners from the MICE sector, including the hotel industry, will be part of the programme.

A panel of experts with Peter Neumann (Professor of Tourism Economics and Academic Site Director IU International University Münster), Sylvie Konzack (Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief Bleisure Traveller), Corinna Döpkens (Business Travel & Mobility Expert) and Fabienne Rosenbach will discuss the opportunities and challenges of Bleisure travel from a corporate, employer and tourism perspective.

Participants can choose between studio tickets (venue: Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen) or online tickets – participation is free of charge! Studio guests also have the opportunity to visit the accompanying exhibition of the CB RLP partners and learn more about the conference opportunities on site. At the subsequent networking event, participants will be able to engage in further conversation on site during “speed meetings”. Bleisure Traveller is media partner of the event.
